Manuscript Submission

Authors should ensure that their manuscript:

  • Is original and unpublished.
  • Is not under consideration by another journal.
  • Has been approved by all co-authors.
  • Complies with ethical and scientific standards.
  • Falls within the scope of the journal.

Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors agree to its publication if accepted.

Manuscript Formatting

General Format

The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format, using Times New Roman font, 12-point font size, with double line spacing, 2.5 cm margins on all sides, justified text alignment, page numbers centered at the bottom of each page, and continuous line numbering throughout the document.

Manuscript Organization

Title Page

The title page should include the full title of the manuscript, a running title of no more than 50 characters, the full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and, where available, ORCID IDs (optional but encouraged). It should also provide the corresponding author's complete postal address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

Abstract

The manuscript should include an unstructured abstract, not exceeding 250 words, that briefly presents the background, objectives, materials and methods, results, and conclusion of the study.

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords arranged alphabetically.

Main Manuscript

The main manuscript should not contain any author details. All author information should be included only on the title page. The manuscript should be arranged as follows:

  4. Discussion
  5. Conclusion
  6. Acknowledgements
  7. Funding Statement
  8. Conflict of Interest
  9. Author Contributions
  10. Ethical Approval
  11. Data Availability Statement

The Results and Discussion sections may be presented either as separate sections or combined into a single section, as appropriate for the study.

Tables and Figures

Tables

  • Number tables consecutively.
  • Provide concise titles.
  • Use editable table format.
  • Avoid duplication of data.

Figures

  • High-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Acceptable formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG
  • Graphs and photographs should be publication quality.
  • Figure legends should be provided separately.

Scientific Nomenclature and Units

Use SI Units throughout the manuscript. Scientific names should be italicized. Gene symbols and biochemical nomenclature should follow international standards. Abbreviations should be defined at first mention.

Reference Style (APA 7th Edition)

JAAB follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition referencing style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software to ensure accuracy. APA style uses the author-date citation method and standard formatting for journal articles, books, chapters, conference proceedings, and online resources. (APA Style)

References should be arranged alphabetically and checked carefully for accuracy.

Ethical Policy

Animal Experiments

Research involving animals must have prior approval from the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) or equivalent authority. Authors should provide: Name of ethical committee, Approval number and Date of approval.

Human Studies

Studies involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and have Institutional Ethics Committee approval.

Publication Ethics

The journal strictly opposes:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication
  • Data falsification
  • Duplicate publication
  • Simultaneous submission
  • Image manipulation
  • Citation manipulation

All submissions undergo plagiarism screening.

Authorship Policy

Authorship should be limited to those who have substantially contributed to:

  • Research conception and design
  • Data collection
  • Data analysis
  • Interpretation of findings
  • Manuscript preparation
  • Final approval

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest.

If none exist, include:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

Funding Information

Authors should disclose all funding sources.

Examples:

Data Availability Statement

Authors are encouraged to make data publicly available.

Example:

The datasets generated during the current study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.

JAAB follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.

The review process includes:

  1. Editorial screening

  3. Assignment to expert reviewers
  4. Double-blind peer review
  5. Author revision
  6. Final editorial decision
  7. Copyediting and publication

The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request modifications.

Open Access Policy

JAAB is a fully open access journal. All published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription charges, promoting the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article under its open access policy.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support editorial management, peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, and long-term archiving, the journal charges the following Article Processing Charges (APC) upon acceptance of the manuscript.

For Indian Authors

Publication Fee: ₹1000/- (Indian Rupees One Thousand Only) per accepted manuscript.

For International Authors

Publication Fee: USD 20 (Twenty US Dollars) per accepted manuscript.

  • There are no submission charges.
  • APC is payable only after acceptance of the manuscript.
  • Payment instructions will be communicated by the Editorial Office after acceptance.
  • Publication fees are non-refundable once the production process has commenced.

The Editorial Board may consider fee waivers or discounts for exceptional cases at its discretion.

Submission Declaration

By submitting a manuscript, authors certify that:
